ISO45001 Implementation

Almost 50 people in Ireland and 2 million people worldwide die every year in workplace accidents. ISO45001 (OHSAS18001) is a standard which is aimed at ensuring the health, safety and welfare of people in the workplace. Whether you work in a relatively high-risk industry such as the construction sector or in a relatively low-risk, office-based environment, you can benefit from a structured approach to the management of health and safety in the workplace:

  • reduced possibility of accident, injury and fatality in the workplace
  • potential savings in costs associated with accident and illness
  • provides assurance to stakeholders such as employees, customers and regulators
  • increased competitiveness among industry rivals
  • reduced chance of prosecution resulting in fines and loss of reputation
  • meets the requirements for public and private tenders

As with the other ISO standards, this follows the Plan-Do-Check-Act model so certified companies are required to continually monitor, measure and improve their operational performance and management system.

We used Asgard Management to assist with the transaction on the ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 standards. Darren's support on the gap analysis was both practical and comprehensive. He provided us with a number of user-friendly templates, which have been rolled out with positive effect.
